I have nothing original to say about the Virginia Tech shootings, except for the fact that this is the kind of thing that makes me irrationally afraid to go to America: it's so easy to get your hands on a gun. I don't want to offend anyone, but I really don't understand why anybody feels that the right to bear arms is a reasonable law.
Also, I was considering uploading some or all of Paul McCartney's vaguely newish album Chaos and Creation in the Backyard (because it's an awesome album), but only if anyone would be interested. If so, comment! And tell me whether uploading each single track or just putting it all in a zip file would be better.

In other news, I've only posted 234 times in the (just over) two years I've had this journal. I can't really tell if that's weird or not because I don't really get how days work and I forget how many days equals A Long Time. I wonder how many times I've said "in other news". I just accidentally stuck a pair of scissors up my nose while talking on the phone. Currently in the process of blowing all the blood out. Spectacular!
They announced the leadership positions for next year yesterday, I got Strings Leader. I get a shiny badge and everything! I'm really pleased with who got what, everyone who deserved something got something. Except for Sarah W.! I feel really bad for her, she was crying after they announced the positions. She's put heaps of work into rowing, I think she should have gotten something for it.
My party's in 2 hours! What a grand time I shall have. I even bought a costume for it. It's a PRINCESS PARTY! Yes, yes. Git orf mah lawn! I know it's supremely girly, but that's the point. I am exciiiiiiited everyone's coooooooming wooohooooowooooohooooowooooohoooo

BUH.
WHY IS ART SO HARD. Over the holidays, our art assignment is to paint what our spirituality is to us.
Okay. Seriously. Who gets a bunch of 15/16 year olds and tells them to paint their spirituality. I mean... what? Even if some of us did have a grasp on our spirituality, it's a pretty big ask to get us to paint it. I expect most people will paint clouds and trees and music, etc etc. Once again I have left everything to the last minute and have 1 week to complete the painting. I also have 1 week to do 9 hours of community service. And 1 week to do a maths assignment. Awesome!
I'm thinking of painting three little ones (I already have little canvases). Hmmmmmmmmm.

To any icon makers out there, is there any really good way to pimp yourself so that people come to your journal? It just seems that whenever I post to a community I get comments which is great but no one visits my actual journal. I tried posting teaser icons to like 15 communities so that people would visit but that was a complete failure, I had about two people come. I really want some more friends over there, because right now I get about three to four comments on each post and it's almost always from the same people. It makes me sad :(

T.V has both rewarded and betrayed me.
It has betrayed me by taking off Beyblades. PAIN.
But it has rewarded me by putting on FIVE shows that I want to watch. YAY! Desperate Housewives and Lost are starting this week, and The O.C is back on. Mmmmmmmmm quality soapies.
OH NO IT'S FRIENDS CUT TIME. I completely forgot. There are a whole bunch of people that I'm really sad to see go. I thought that we were still friends and I wasn't expecting them to not comment :(. Feel free to comment here if you want to be re-added!

Congratulations on being the most intolerable fucktard ever to exist. I'm glad to know that my country is being run by an ignorant, discriminatory idiot who can't make desicions for himself, and prefers to follow dear old George fucking Bush around like an ever-so obediant puppy dog. I'd like to thank you for sending our country to war, resulting in a lot of bad and not much good. Your descision killed a lot of people, and brough about much pain and misery. Despite the fact that Australians everywhere protested, wrote you letters, you did a great job of ignoring them completely. And now, wonder of wonders, you do another great deed for our country.
